I have to tell you that I love a good series set in a cozy town.

I grew up in one of those towns and it has haunted me for years. I really wanted to make a town of my own, with special people, and places. After I wrote a few novels, I decided it was time to write that series set in my fictitious town of Grandberry Falls.

The Ladybug Jinx is the first in the series, and is available now!! YIPEE!!! I can’t wait for everyone to take a stroll down the cobblestone streets of Grandberry Falls, and stop in The Fatted Pig for a great lunch. After lunch you can walk into The Figure 8 Boutique for the perfect outfit, or The Purple Cow Bookstore to roam the aisle for the perfect book that you and read at one of Trembling Cup Cafe’s outside table near the waterfall that the town is centered around.

Be sure to say hello to Mayor Mitch Dozier, who frequents the waterfall, talking about the looming eminent domain case against long time resident Hazel Greenlee. But if you see Hazel, don’t tell her you’re single or she’ll fix you up!

Come on over and pick up your copy of The Ladybug Jinx.

Blurb:

Celia Briggs has always lived her life for everyone but herself. With the death of Celia’s mom, Celia realizes life is too short not to follow her dreams. In her small town of Grandberry Falls, Kentucky-Celia decides to open up, The Ladybug Florist, which is only fitting due to her love of flowers and ladybugs.

How can she not love ladybugs? Her deceased grandfather always said ladybugs bring luck and love.

Marty Briggs, Celia’s father, never dreamed his life as Grandberry Falls, Kentucky’s only flower delivery boy is harder than the job he’s retired from.

Sam Barber jumps in his car leaving his Hollywood life behind. He didn’t know stopping in the cozy town of Grandberry Falls, was about to change his life forever. Especially after answering the help wanted ad at The Ladybug Florist and giving a fake name so no one would recognize him.

Celia knows something is up Sam’s sleeve. Why would a thirty-year old man want to deliver flowers? Marty doesn’t care, he’s just happy to be retired-again.

Will Celia ever figure out Sam’s true identity? Does Sam reveal the big family secret Celia’s parents have kept from her all her life?

Celia’s about to find out if ladybugs are lucky or a jinx?

I love a cozy little town as well. How did you come up with those amusing shop names. Sounds like Grandberry Falls is a wonderful place to live. Is it completely fictional?
